Remember when?
Aug. 16-20, 1968
Fayette County Commissioners accepted the bid of Scholtz Construction Co., Inc. of La Grange to build the new county building in Schulenburg. The structure, approximately 40x70 feet, was to house the offices of the justice of the peace, constable and deputy sheriff, highway patrol, assessor and collector, welfare department and meetings by the county agents, as well as be used as an election site.
New faculty members for the 1968-69 term at Fayetteville High School included: Victor Havran, coach, science and physical education; Sister Catherine Henry Fuhrmann, sixth grade, seventh grade math and head teacher of grades 1-6; Sister Mary Patrick Anderson, high school English, Spanish and seventh grade reading and spelling; Sister Elvira Ruiz, first grade; and Jesse Johec, high school remedial language.
