Gay Nell (Fritsch) Heinsohn, 89, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at Monument Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in La Grange. Gay Nell was born on Jan, 15, 1929 in the Park Community to Henry and Augusta (Hengst) Fritsch. She was baptized on July 21, 1929 by Rev. Carl Baer and confirmed on Sept. 1, 1940 by Rev. Carl Baer in Hackebeil school house near the Park Community. She graduated from Fayetteville Rural High School in 1946. Gay Nell helped the family in their dairy operation before going to work at Cufr’s Dry Goods Store for many years as a clerk. Gay Nell married Kermit Heinsohn on May 27, 1967. She was active in St. Paul Lutheran Church and served for 25 years as treasurer of the Women’s Bible study group. She is survived by a brother, Adrian Fritsch and wife, Virginia, of Columbus; brother-in-law, J.D. Marek of San Antonio; nephew, Derek Fritsch and wife, Jackie, of Sugarland; nieces: Dawnah Pina and husband, Adam, of Bay City; Rhanda Lattimore and husband, Bill, of Columbus; Debbie Stracke and husband, Steve, of Dripping Springs; Laurie Underwood and husband, Grason, of New Braunfels; several great nephews and great nieces and two great-great nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit Heinsohn; brother, Ralph Fritsch; and sister, Ruth Ann Marek. Visitation was held on Sunday, Septl 2, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Knesek Chapel in Fayetteville. Family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral Services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fayetteville, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018. Services were officiated by Pastor Marcia Kifer Burial followed at Fayetteville City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 87, Fayetteville, Texas 78940; Hospice Brazos Valley, 1048 N.
