Marjorie “McGee” Fulton, 100, a resident of Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center, died Sept. 14, 2018. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Sharon Fulton Abbott of North Fork, Idaho, son Robert Fulton and wife Deborah of Schulenburg, seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Marjorie was born July 28, 1918 on an Indian reservation near Selfridge, N.D. to German immigrant parents. While pursuing her schooling in Minneapolis, Minn. she met Wayne Fulton, the love of her life. During WWII, Wayne accepted a commission in the Army Air Force, beginning a life of travel Marjorie enjoyed throughout her life. After Wayne’s untimely death in 1956 she began a civil service career, eventually becoming one of the U. S. Air Force’s first female computer programmers. During her working career and later in retirement Marjorie continued to travel, visiting Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and South America. Moving from Montgomery, Ala. to Schulenburg in 2003, Marjorie became “McGee” to her many friends at the Regency Villas, later at College Place Assisted Living and finally the Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. where she will join her beloved husband Wayne.
