Rosendo Romero Barron, 53, of West Point, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. Rosendo was born in Mexico on Aug. 29, 1965, the son of Antonio and Guadalupe (Romero) Barron. He married Maria Ramirez on Dec. 15, 1990 in Mexico. He was a truck driver for 22 years. Rosendo was a member of Sacred Heart Church in La Grange. Rosendo was a kind and loving man who always helped anyone in need. He is survived by his wife, Maria, of 28 years; two sons: Erik Barron and Ivan Ramirez both of West Point; two brothers: Jaime Barron and wife, Maribel; and John Barron and wife, Angelica; sister, Lorena Salinas and husband, Rolando, all of West Point; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe Barron. Visitation was held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Church in La Grange at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 548, La Grange, Texas 78945. Sitaben Desai was born in India on July 31, 1929 to Khushalbhai and Bhikhiben Patel. She married Kunverjibhai Desai and together they had five children. Sitaben was a loving and hardworking homemaker. She was an excellent cook and a very strong person who never complained. She died the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018 at her home in Giddings surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers. Sitaben is survived by her three sons, Vasant Desai and his wife, Jashuben of Schulenburg, Dinesh Desai and his wife, Urmilaben of Bastrop, and Janak Desai and his wife Sandhya of Giddings; her two daughters, Savitaben Patel and her husband, Dahyabhai of Dilley, and Kusum Patel and her husband, Magan of San Marcos; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends making memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings is in charge of arrangements.
