Pink Ribbon Affair A Success, Contest Winners Announced

On Tuesday, Oct. 9, the Lee County Area Cancer Resource Center (LCACRC) and Combined Community Action held the 12th annual Pink Ribbon Affair. This breast cancer awareness fundraiser at the Giddings American Legion Hall was a fun and an informative evening. The special attraction of the evening was the Creative Cups for the Cause art bra contest and exhibit. People from the local area and beyond submitted a total of 51 entries.

The art bras were judged prior to the opening of the event. The judging team included Dorothy Rackel and Frances Whitsel both of Dime Box, and Richard Floeck of Giddings. They critiqued each entry and selected winners in the following categories:
