Bovay Engineers of Houston met with La Grange City Council  to discuss the third phase of the city’s comprehensive plan for growth with regard to sewer system expansion. Representatives presented three options. The first was to utilize the existing treatment plant site, the second to develop a site on Cedar Creek somewhere east of downtown, and the third to develop the Cedar Creek plant site and operate two treatment plants for five to 10 years. The engineers recommended adoption of the third alternative and council generally agreed, although it did not vote because more time to study all three options was needed.
