4th Annual Alzheimer’s Texas Walk Results

Alzheimer’s Texas sponsored the 4th Annual Alzheimer’s Texas Walk last month on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Smithville.

Members of the Bastrop and Fayette County communities gathered at the Towers Nursing Home in Smithville in order to support Alzheimer’s Texas and its mission to raise funds for Alzheimer’s disease education and research by participating in the walk.

The Alzheimer’s Texas Walk creates a community around this issue, a place for people to come together to celebrate loved ones affected by dementia and to commemorate the many ways lives can be changed by this illness. This year’s walk was able to raise almost $16,000 in progress towards our goal for Alzheimer’s, as well as share information with the public and spread awareness. All of the funds raised will stay local.
