Leps Fall to Sweeny 21-14

But the La Grange Leopards nearly clawed their way out of it anyway.

The heavily favored Sweeny Bulldogs scored touchdowns on their first three possessions Friday and then barely held on for a 21-14 victory even as the Leps mostly dominated the final twoand-half quarters of this 4A bidistrict playoff game in Waller.

“That second half was the best football we’ve played in our lives,” said La Grange senior Deviro Yanis, whose third quarter interception set up La Grange’s second touchdown.
