Adcox

Cass Eugene “Gene” Adcox, Sr., 75, of La Grange, died Nov. 21, 2018 in La Grange.

A celebration of life was held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Private services will be held at a later date.

Gene was born Oct. 31, 1943 in Greenville. Gene graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin and served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Mazama. Gene spent over 30 years employed in the oilfield sales and service industry and enjoyed fishing along the gulf coast as well as spending time with his family.

Gene is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Adcox of La Grange, two sons: Cass Adcox, Jr. of San Antonio, and Cory Adcox and wife, Melissa, of San Antonio; two grandchildren: Emery Marcella Adcox, and Nora Winnifred Carrion-Adcox, and niece, Cindy Adcox Trahan.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents Katherine Davis and Hess Henry Adcox, and brother, Ross Adcox.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, 240 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, Texas 78945.

Fayette Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
