La Grange Volunteer Fire Dept. Extinguishes Truck Fire

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 9:11 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting an 18-wheeler truck on fire pulling an empty trailer on State Highway 71 east bound near Makinson Road in the West Point area.

The La Grange Volunteer Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Deputy Ryan Meagher. Upon arrival Deputy Meagher observed flames coming from the engine area and deployed his fire extinguisher. The La Grange Fire department arrived shortly after and extinguished the fire.
