Schubert

Arthur Julius Schubert, 90, of La Grange, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. Arthur was born in West Point on Dec. 18, 1927, the son of Julius and Alma Gerhardine (Hahn) Schubert. He married Clara (Gerhard) Schubert in La Grange at the First United Methodist Church in 1957. He began working with the RC Bottling Plant, which was located in Fayette County, and later on in his career, he worked as a service station attendant until his retirement. Arthur was a lifelong member of the NRA and Hermann Sons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and using his tools to fix any type of equipment. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Clara (Gerhard) Schubert, of La Grange. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Monroe Schubert. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018 at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl St., in La Grange. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 1048 N. Jefferson St., La Grange, Texas 78945; Gardenia E.
