Just a Thought

Christmas shopping. I really don’t like Christmas shopping. Not that I’m a Grinch or anything, but it’s just thought of getting it all done and like it or not, it’s time.

Every year I tell myself that I’m going to get it done early and every year I find myself shopping at the last minute. It seems like before Thanksgiving is too soon to start shopping, but then you blink and Christmas is here.

I know that I need to just get out there and get the shopping done, but there is always something else to be done, and I always think I have more time.

My life exists from one deadline to the next. I prioritize everything based on those deadlines. If it’s due tomorrow, it gets done today before something that is due next week. So, Christmas shopping has not been the priority.

But, I woke up this morning and realized that I was almost out of time. How can there only be ten shopping days left? I know that seems like a longer time, but when I checked my calendar, I noticed that some of those days are already booked so, I’m running out of days.
