Adella Hollas passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2018. Adella was born on Dec. 18, 1936 in Engle to Charlies and Ludmilla Schwenke. On June 27, 1955 she married Kenneth Hollas in Praha and they were blessed with four children. She worked on the family dairy and was later employed at UTEX Industries where her co-workers became like family. Adella was a hard worker, she loved her family and enjoyed canning, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Mary Ann Oeding and her husband Larry of Schulenburg; Ronnie Hollas and his wife Shirley of Hallettsville, Glenn Hollas and wife Renee of La Grange, and Dennis Hollas and his wife Becky of Weimar; 11 grandchildren, Eric Oeding and his wife Stacy of Schulenburg, Beth Hromadka and husband Jay of San Marcos; Clinton Hollas and wife Ashton, Bradley Hollas, Dillon Hollas and wife Anissa, and Nathan Hollas all of Hallettsville; Brock Hollas of La Grange and Brandy Krenek and husband Kyle of Katy; Colin Hollas, Conner Hollas, Carson Hollas all of Weimar; seven great grandchildren, Julia, Evan, Claire and Anna Oeding of Schulenburg; Jaxon Hromadka of San Marcos; Kutter Hollas and Preston Hollas both of Halletsville. She is also survived by brother and sisters in law Fred and Barbara Schram, Angie Schwenke, Lillie Schwenke and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; her parents; brothers Emil, Jerome and Adolph Schwenke. Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 6 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Weimar at 2 p.m. Visitation began at noon, rosary at 1 p.m. with Father Wayne Flagg presiding. Pallbearers included grandsons Eric, Clinton, Bradley, Dillon, Nathan, Brock, Colin, Conner and Carson. Offertory gifts were brought up by granddaughters Beth and Brandy. Altar servers were great grandchildren Evan and Claire. Lectors were granddaughter in law Stacy and granddaughter Julia. Eucharistic ministers were Mike and Kaye Lynn Kasparek. Interment was at the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hubbard Funeral Home in Weimar.
