Truck Blocks Traffic near Travis Street River Bridge

An 18-wheeler hauling a large dump truck was blocking traffic on Travis Street just west of the river bridge in La Grange Monday afternoon, Jan. 7.

The truck was at the stop sign on Country Club Drive and attempted to take a left on Travis Street when the trailer high-centered on a hump in the intersection.

A heavy-duty wrecker crew was at the scene attempting to pull the trailer off the hump. The trailer had been stuck for about an hour as of 3 p.m.

La Grange Police were directing traffic around the 18-wheeler via Carroll Lane.
