Isabel Palacio Orona

Isabel Palacio Orona, 68, of La Grange died Jan. 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. Visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange from 5 to 7 p.m. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass for Isabel will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. Isabel was born on Dec. 1, 1950 to Brigido Palacio Cervantez and Teresa Martinez. She married Rogelio Rangel Orona on March 22, 1965. She worked for La Grange Independent School District for 20 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a hard worker. Isabel was always willing to help and loved people. She enjoyed travelling and singing. Most of all, she loved and enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, son Brigido Orona, daughter Elvira Alvarado and husband Pedro, daughter Elsa Gonzalez, 13 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Clemente Palacio. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City OK 73123; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange.
