Martha Elizabeth (Rainosek) Jurecka, 88, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 after a brief illness. Martha was born in Schulenburg on Nov. 19, 1930, the daughter of John F. Rainosek and Annie (Zvesper) Rainosek. She married Bohus (Bob) Jurecka on May 27, 1957 in Schulenburg. They lived in Fayetteville together until his death in 1997. After Bob passed away, Martha spent the majority of her time with her twin sister, Marcella Rainosek. Martha was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for over 50 years. She was also a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Martha was a very fun-loving aunt and quite the jokester. She cherished her family, and will be dearly missed. She spent her time as a farmer and rancher alongside her husband, Bob. Martha fondly cared for her farm animals, loved tending her garden, and milking the dairy cows. Martha was also an excellent cook, being known especially for preparing delicious sauerkraut and green beans. Martha is survived by one brother, Frank Rainosek and wife, Mary of Austin; her twin sister, Marcella Rainosek of Fayetteville and Austin; numerous nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; great-great nieces; and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Bohus (Bob); brother, John F. Rainosek, Jr., and wife, Virginia; sister: Henrietta Shay, and husband, Wallace; and twin sisters: Mary T. Rainosek and Ann V. Rainosek. Visitation was held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville. A Rosary was recited at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Rev. Nock Russell officiating. Elizabeth Aldrich, great niece, was Lector. Burial followed at the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville.
