Degner

Wayne Degner 71 of Centralia, Ill. died. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 in a St. Louis Missouri hospital.

He was born in Alvin, Texas to Herbert and Oren (Moore) Degner on Nov. 24, 1947. He grew up in the Walhalla-Nechanitz area of Fayette County. In 1966, Wayne graduated from La Grange High School.

Wayne married Carma (Maxedon) McKennon March 3, 1976 in Smithville. They had two daughters.

Wayne is survived by his wife Carma of Centralia, daughters Cassie Hernandez and husband Lacio (Pops) of Ft. Worth. Anjeanette Fleetwood and husband Brad of Taylorville, Illinois. Brothers Donald and wife Pam of Brenham, Lloyd and wife Linda of Acworth, Georgia and Edward of Brenham. Sisters Janice Neal of North Richland Hills and Lillian Hoppe and husband George of Hiawassee, Georgia and brother in law Lonnie Maxedon and family of Ft. Worth, as well as nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Harold and Kenneth and his mother in law and father in law.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Centralia, Ill.
