Ted Ronald Tonn

Ted Ronald Tonn, 72, of Warda, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer

Ted was born on July 7, 1946, in Manheim, the youngest son of Rudolph Alvin Tonn and Lillian Clara Elizabeth (Dunk) Tonn. He attended Giddings High School and graduated in May of 1964.

While working at Bluebonnet, he met the love of his life, LaVerne Krause. They were engaged on Valentine’s Day, 1982, and he married LaVerne Krause on Nov. 6, 1982.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, LaVerne, and their three sons, Joshua and wife Jodie, of San Antonio, Caleb and wife Kyndall, of Caldwell, and Aaron of Warda. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Aubrey and Hadleigh Tonn, of San Antonio, two sisters-inlaw, Katie Tonn of Houston, and Elaine Krause of Giddings, one brother-in-law, Harold Krause and wife Paula, of Northrup, one niece, three nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services celebrating Ted’s life will be held on Friday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda. Burial will take place at the Church Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
