Drescher

On Feb. 27, the Lord called Mary Drescher home to live with him in Heaven and join her husband Frank after 32 years.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.

Funeral Services for Mary Drescher were held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. A private graveside service will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery.

Mary was born on May 25, 1928 in Hallettsville to I.D. and Lorine Norsworthy. She married Frank Drescher on Feb. 11, 1950 in La Grange. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange.

She is survived by five daughters Mae Rausl and husband Jimmie of La Grange, Mary Rauch of Nechanitz, Dorothy Pierce and husband Roger of La Grange, Margaret Bernshausen and husband Larry of Ledbetter, Bonnie Stewart of Bryan; one son Frank (Buster) Drescher and wife Beverly of La Grange; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren;; one sister Melba Bruening of Rockdale; brother-in-law Paul Drescher and wife Liz of Austin; brotherin-law Alfred Drescher of Katy; sister-in-law Mary Norsworthy of La Grange; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Drescher (July 3, 1986), sonsin-law Quinton Stewart and Eddie Rauch, Jr., infant greatgrandchild Coy Bernshausen, sister Velma Wethington, brothers V.A. Cowboy Norsworthy and Jesse Norsworthy, sisterin-law Billie Norsworthy, and brother-in-law Curtis Bruening.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley; 1048 N. Jefferson; La Grange Texas 78945, Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter, 240 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, Texas 78945 or the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
