LG Racks Up Half Million In First-Quarter Sales Tax
For the sixth month in a row, sales tax collections in La Grange are up from the same month one year earlier. That steady pace has put the city over the half million dollar mark for the first quarter of the year.
From January through March, La Grange has received $523,225 from State Comptroller Glenn Hegar as its rebate on sales taxes paid to local merchants.
A steady increase has marked almost all towns in South Central Texas. Of the 24 tracked by the Record, only three are down from the same point last year.
