Walk-Off Win for Leps

Tyler Johnson clubbed a pair of triples, each of which directly led to runs as the La Grange baseball team defeated Lampasas 2-1 Monday in walk-off fashion.

Throwing errors by Lampasas following each of those triples led to Johnson scoring both Lep runs. The second of which happened in the eighth inning as a throw from the outfield to try to cut down Johnson as he approached third base sailed into the Badgers dugout, allowing Johnson to walk home with the winning run. He was mobbed by his teammates at home plate.

“He was big for us,” La Grange head coach Robert Barber said of Johnson. “He hammered two triples that really put the pressure on them.”
