Calvin Paul Bohot

Calvin Paul Bohot, 64, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 13, to be with his father in heaven.

Calvin was born in La Grange on Oct. 10, 1954 to Victor and Elva (Bunte) Bohot. Calvin graduated from La Grange High School in La Grange in 1973 where afterwards he started his long career as a mechanic. He married Becky Findeisen on April 8, 1978 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston, where they afterward resided in La Grange.

Calvin is survived by his wife Becky of 40 years; daughters, Angela Bohot and Zabrina Karstedt, and spouse Michael Sloan; grandchildren, Abigayle Diane, Mikayla Gannon, Nickolus Paul, and Rebekka Jayne; mother, Elva Bunte Bohot and the late Victor C. Bohot, of La Grange; brother, Leeland Bohot and his wife Sharon of Humble; brother, Howard and wife Phyllis of La Grange; sister-inlaw, Connie Sue Michalsky; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Calvin; father and mother-in-law, Rogers and Vernice Fisdndeison.

Calvin’s past times were hunting, fishing, barbecuing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation was held Friday, March 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Memorial services were held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Calvin Bohot Funeral Fund at Fayette Savings Bank.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
