NVCC Members Hear From Coin Collector Alfred Pavlu

Memebers of Navidad Valley Community Connections (NVCC) had a great Lunch and Learn last week. Alfred Pavlu brought some of his coin collection to show the members of NVCC.

As the history of coins was discussed, many questions were asked, and as it turns out many members have coin collections themselves. One member shared a very fond memory of when she traveled to Austin years ago to purchase her wedding gown. Armed with over 250 silver dollars, money she saved from her father, cashiers from all different departments scrambled to the register she was paying at, to get their chance at getting a few silver dollars for themselves.

NVCC has been watching the Netflix series The Story of God with Morgan Freeman. Members have been enjoying the discussion on the afterlife, apocalypse, and the different cultural aspects of religions. NVCC will continue this series every morning through the month of April.
