Structure Burns Near Roznov

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that a small structure burned to the ground Sunday afternoon near Roznov.

The Sheriff's Office recieved a 911 call around 5:50 p.m. reporting the fire on Halamicek Loop. Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. They requested assistance from the Round Top-Warrenton VFD. Deputy Michael Krenek responded as well. By the time firefighters arrived, a small structure had been destroyed by fire. The two departments extinguished the blaze. There were no reported injuries.

Korenek's report stated that the cause was determined to be from a brush fire that got out of control and spread to the structure.
