Cernosek

Frankie Joe Cernosek, age 79 years, 8 months, 9 days, of Holman, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Methodist Hospital Medical Center.

He was born on July 27, 1939 at the La Grange hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nettie Cernosek; daughter Courtney Vollbaum and husband Chuck of La Grange; son Craig Cernosek and wife Jessica of Schulenburg; sisters Lucy Stanzel and husband Bob of La Grange, and Annette Young and husband Wayne of Montgomery; brothers Paul Cernosek and wife Nancy of Columbus, and David Cernosek and wife Doris of Holman; and his seven grandchildren, Gabby, Hannah, Connor, Brianna, Callie, Emily and Olivia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank V. and Annie (Kana) Cernosek, and father-inlaw and mother-in-law, Bill and Thelma Weaver.

Rosary was held on Tuesday, April 9 at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home.

The funeral was held at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Holman on Wednesday, April 10 at 10 a.m. with interment at the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.

Donations in his memory can be made to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Parents As Teachers or a charity of one’s choice.

Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
