Disaster Recovery Office Opens at Hope Hill

Monday, the Hurricane Harvey recovery center opened at Hope Hill.

“We are so excited to actually be in the new location,” said Larry Jackson, board president for the Fayette County Disaster Recovery Team.

In May of last year, the DRT bought about 23 acres of pastureland fronting on Horton Street to create a subdivision where new homes can be built. The primary goal is to create housing for La Grange residents whose homes were destroyed by Hurricane Harvey.
