La Grange’s April Tax Revenue Surges

April brought good news for the city of La Grange treasury. State Comptroller Glenn Hegar sent a city sales tax rebate check more than 33 percent bigger than last April’s.

City Manager Shawn Raborn was startled by the big gain.

“I checked to make sure it wasn’t some sort of correction or adjustment,” he said. “But it was just plain growth, which is pretty exciting.”
