Fayette Electric Names Scholarship Winners

With Fayette Electric Cooperative, it’s more than providing reliable, cost effective service. It’s also giving back to the local communities that it serves. That’s why Fayette Electric Cooperative awards scholarships to rural students who want to fulfill their dreams of attending college.

Each year, graduating seniors from thirteen area high schools, whose parents or legal guardians reside full-time in the cooperative’s service territory, can compete for one of the six $1,500 Rural Scholarships. An independent panel of judges scores the applicants on the following criteria: academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities and community service, demonstrated leadership skills, work experience, family profile and the applicant’s narrative.
