Two Local Tae Kwon Do Students Earn Special Scholastic Award

The “challenge” began September 2016 when Master Debra Filla of the La Grange Unified Tae Kwon Do proposed a special award to all of her students if they aimed high scholastically and maintained all A’s during their entire school year from September 2016 through May 2017. For three years this new tradition has been honored with students from Giddings, La Grange, Schulenburg, and Weimar areas in contest for this academic achievement. Two of these students achieved this feat from August 2018 through May 2019 and were awarded “mega” scholastic trophies. Tae Kwon Do traces back to 1,350 years ago to the Silla Dynasty and is the world’s most effect form of self-defense and physical fitness for men, women, and children (all ages) with an ultimate goal of self-improvement. The Unified Tae Kwon Do in La Grange is under the guidance of Master Debra Filla on Svboda Lane in La Grange.
