The fifth annual Casino Night, sponsored by the Carmine Chamber of Commerce will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 6 p.m. Kristyn Harris http://www.kristynharris.com  will be the featured entertainment for the night. She has won numerous awards. Enjoy an evening of games, dinner, and entertainment. Gary’s famous chicken fried steak dinner will be served. A table for eight may be purchased for $400. It includes drinks and game chips. Individual tickets are $30. Remember to reserve tables early by contacting Marlene Waak at (979) 451-1507 or LouAnn Stokes at (281) 799-5113. They may also be purchased at Carmine State Bank.

School Kits

School kits for Lutheran World Relief are being collected by Martin Luther Lutheran Church Women of the ELCA during the months of July and August. Needed are 70-count spiral notebooks of ruled paper; blunt scissors; rulers with centimeters and inches; pencil sharpeners; unsharpened no. 2 pencils with erasers; ballpoint pens; 2½ inch erasers; and 16-24 count boxes of crayons.
