Helen M. Korenek, 93, of La Grange, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

Helen was born in La Grange, on April 27, 1926, to Paul and Annie (Mach) Korenek.

Helen worked as an egg grader at Koether’s Farm & Ranch Supply and earlier in her life she worked for Franklin Nursery. After retirement, she raised cattle on her ranch property.

Helen was known as “Hinnie” by her family. She loved to take her great nephews hunting and fishing. She was an outdoors person; enjoying nature to the fullest.

She is survived by her nephews: Keith Korenek and wife, Tricia; Paul Kaluza and wife, Tamara; great-nephew, Taylor Korenek, all of La Grange; and great-nephew, Dwayne Shoppa and wife, Abby, of Austin; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Annie Kaluza and Lola Taylor; brother, Paul Korenek and nephew, Emil Kaluza.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations.
