Funeral services for Lydia Lehmann Haley, 98, of Ledbetter, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. John Waak officiating. Burial followed in the Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter.

Lydia Bage Lehmann Haley was born on Sept. 8, 1920, near Giddings, to Willie and Selma (Marburger) Bage. She married Lawrence Lehmann on Aug. 18, 1940 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Keng and her husband, James of Ledbetter; two granddaughters, Jaime Manning and her husband, Ron of Giddings, and Casey Smith and her husband, Frank of Giddings; two stepdaughters, Phyllis Hodges and her husband, Tommy of Bastrop, and Carolyn LaFrance of Giddings; adopted family, James and Michelle Newman; sister-in-law, Velma Bage of Texas City; eight great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; step grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Martin Luther Day school, a youth organization of one’s choice, or to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
