My Memories of Mrs. Sulak

Just a Thought

People come in and out of your life. Some of them are there for a short time while others are there for quite some time, and some of them make a difference in your life.

I said goodbye this week to one of those who made a difference in the life of my family. Her name was Lillie Sulak. She died last Thursday at the age of 106.

I met Lillie Sulak back in 1976. My parents had just purchased The Fayette County Record. Unlike many new owners, my dad did not come in with “his people.” He wanted to embrace the existing staff and get to know them in their positions. Well, we found out very early on that Mrs. Sulak was more than just an employee.
