Alice M. Monroe, 71, of Pflugerville died July 16, 2019.

Alice was born June 26, 1948 in La Grange to Lora and Elvera (Williams) Hubbard. She married William C. Monroe and worked as a counselor at Austin Child Guidance Center in Austin. She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Round Rock

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, William C. Monroe of Pflugerville; daughters, Nikki and husband Don Monroe-Thomas of Austin, LaTrice Monroe of Houston, Nekesha and husband Phoenix of Pflugerville and Kristin Monroe of Pflugerville; sisters, Lora Kay Hubbard of La Grange, Brinda J. and husband Tommie Toliver of Columbus and Cleo Grant of La Grange; brothers, John L. and wife Johnelle Hubbard of Houston and Lorenzo Hubbard of Houston; aunt, Elnora East of La Grange; and five grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in La Grange at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Herman Powell officiating. Burial followed in the La Grange City Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange.
