Two Tractor Dealers Burglarized in a Week

Thieves struck two local tractor dealerships within the span of a week.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reported that burglars stole two zero-turn lawnmowers and a trailer from the Sherer Kubota Tractor dealership on SH 71 west of La Grange early Friday morning, July 19.

Sheriff’s Investigator Angela Lala reported that the thieves apparently jumped the fence and loaded the two mowers on a trailer. They then hitched the trailer to a pickup owned by the dealership and used it to crash through the fence. Lala said they abandoned the pickup on the SH 71 access road and used another vehicle to pull away the stolen property.
