Charley M. Robertson, 91, of Ellinger, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.

Charley was born in Mineral Springs, Ark. on Sept. 17, 1927, the daughter of Arthur Jackson and Leila (Waid) Powell.

She married, William Clyde Robertson, on Sept. 2, 1945 in Hope, Ark. Charley and Clyde were blessed with three children: Terry, Randy, and Marsha.

Charley worked as a secretary for First Baptist Church in Magnolia for ten years. Working as church secretary, she was very much a devoted mother and wife. Charley’s hobbies included reading, and spending time outdoors. She especially loved sitting on her front porch, while visiting with her family and friends.

Charley is survived by her two sons: Terry Robertson, and his wife, Rynie of La Grange; and Randy Robertson, and his wife, Jan of Ellinger; seven grandchildren: Colin Robertson; Jack Robertson; Julie Bonner; Liz Galindo; Emily Curry; Rachel Blevins; and Andrew Blevins; fourteen great grandchildren; and a number of great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty years, Clyde; daughter, Marsha Blevins; and sister, Arthurene Sword.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019 at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl St., La Grange, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Justin Lopez officiating.
