Potential Stars Emerge in the Saturday Morning Scrimmage for the Leopards

One week of preseason practice is in the books for the La Grange football team, and the Leps punctuated that first week with their annual “Popsicle Bowl” instrasquad scrimmage Saturday morning.

Lots of parents and fans braved the hot temperatures for an early look at the 2019 Leps, and if Saturday morning was any indication, this could be a very explosive La Grange varsity that is trying to build on last year’s 6-4 record and third place finish in district.

The scrimmage opened with the Leps debuting their latest kicking weapon, sophomore Hector Orona, who was perfect on extra points before booting field goals of 32, 35 and 40 yards without a miss.
