Homer Bailey Shines in Pennant Race for A’s; J.K. Dobbins Ready for Heisman Run at Ohio State

– Oakland Manager Bob Melvin, talking Tuesday night about La Grange-native Homer Bailey who threw 5.2 innings of one-run ball against the Yankees Tuesday as the Oakland A’s beat New York 6-2 to move into a tie for the second wild card spot in the American League. Bailey struck out eight and didn’t walk anyone. The victory improved Bailey’s record to 11-8 this season.
