Lawrence “Larry” Anthony Bresan, 77, of La Grange, passed away on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019.

Larry was born in Springfield, Ill. on July 7, 1942, the son of Anton Joseph and Alice (Waller) Bresan. He married Faynell Eckermann on June 3, 1967 in Bellville.

Larry served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Houston and retired after 38 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Faynell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stanley and Janis Eckermann of Ypsilanti, Mich.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, May and Fred Eilers, of Fredericksburg; nephew and niece, Tim and Mayrie Eckermann, of Saline, Mich.; niece, Amy Eckermann of Concord, California and nephew, Andrew Eilers of San Antonio; great niece and great nephew, Kaitlyn and Collin Eckermann, of Saline, Mich.; and numerous cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton Joseph Bresan and Alice Bresan Lucas and step-father, Frank Lucas; grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cornell and Erna Eckermann.

Visitation was held on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 with a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Industry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter, 240 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, TX 78945 or to a charity of one’s choice.
