Tomlin

Memorial Services for Bernice Kay Tomlin will be held on Sept. 7, 2019 at 10 a.m. at United Pentecostal Church at 311 North Horton St. in La Grange. Rev. Jim Hancock will be in charge of the service.

Bernice was born on Sept. 5, 1942 in Tulsa, Okla. She went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2019 in Houston.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Alanis; grandson, Ryan Alanis; two brothers, John Paul Gowin and George Gowin Jr.; two sisters, Beatrice Robinson, Naomi Nantz; and parents, George Gowin Sr. and Mae Gowin.

Kay is survived by her son, Pete Alanis and wife Susan; daugther, Carlie Alanis; two sisters, Donna Bryant and Rosemarie Vega; brother-in-law, Johnny Vega, and also many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The family thanks everyone for their prayers. They are greatly appreciated.
