Gumm-Waggoner

Delfa “DeDe” (Wright) Gumm-Waggoner, 68, of La Grange, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019.

DeDe was born in Amarillo on Aug. 31, 1951, the daughter of Gordon and Mollie (Hollman) Wright.

She devoted her life to serving God, by sharing His love and His word with everyone she met. Her biggest achievements as a disciple were her bible study leadership and prison ministry.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Waggoner; daughter, Desiree Rene Gumm-Lebar and husband, Joshua, of Houston; sister, Cynthia Carrigan and husband, Ed, of Richmond, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her previous husband, Danny; son, J.T. Gumm and daughter, Angela.

A memorial service was held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
