It what is likely the most impressive victory for the La Grange football team since at least 2015, the Leps went on the road Friday and beat defending state quarterfinalist La Vernia 43-39.

“This really opened people’s eyes about what we can do this year,” said La Grange senior center Jon King.

La Grange improved to 3-0 , while handing La Vernia its first loss of 2019 after the Bears went 12-2 last season.
