Putla Schulze, 79, of Magnolia, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019 in Magnolia following a lengthy illness.

He was born in La Grange on June 4, 1940 to Edgar and Leona (Tiedt) Schulze of La Grange.

He spent most of his adult life in and around the Houston area. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his four children: Becky Stiltner and her husband, Ray; Darrell Schulze and his wife, Gloria; Teresa Daub; Crystal Short and her husband, Jonathan; nine grandchildren: Raymond and Jason Stiltner; Brittany (Stiltner) Wells; Shawn and Zach Schulze; Katie and Wesley Daub; Hannah (Short) Charles; and Parker Short; four great-grandchildren: Brelyn Stiltner, Eliana and Eva Schulze; and JB Wells; brother, Emmett Schulze and his wife, Beatrice of La Grange; and exwife and mother of his children, Gloria (Lidiak) Schulze.

Putla was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Leona Schulze; infant son, Manuel Jr.; wife, Betty; and niece, Cathy (Schulze) Matherne.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home in La Grange.

Funeral Services were held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home in La Grange at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019. Burial followed at the La Grange City Cemetery.
