Shorthorns Outslug Van Vleck 49-34

In an offensive slugfest, the Schulenburg Shorthorns football team went on the road Friday and beat Van Vleck 49-34, a win that almost guarantees Schulenburg will head back to the postseason for a second consecutive season.

With three weeks to go in the regular season the Shorthorns now have a 5-3 overall record and a 3-1 mark in district.

Schulenburg has had some great defensive games this season, but Friday it was the Shorthorns offense amassing 419 total yards, including 377 yards on the ground on a whopping 63 carries. Temon Glover ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns and Brayden Duarte ran for 176 yards and three touchdowns
