Lillian Elizabeth (Poncik) Coufal, 101, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019.

Lillian was born in Ellinger on Nov. 25, 1917, the daughter of Peter and Vinnie (Orsak) Poncik.

Lillian never let anything get her down, she was always ready to help anyone in any way she could. At the age of eighteen she had lost her parents, she was left to raise her two brothers and sister as well as take care of the farm. Lillian married Willie Coufal Jr. in 1940 and they had six children. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, and crocheting. Anyone that stopped to visit always left with a full stomach, a wholesome heart, and goodies to take home.

She is survived by her son, William Coufal and his wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Marian Branam and her husband, J.B.; daughter, Linda Lawson and her husband, Hildred; sister, Eleanora Coufal; sister-in-law; Eleanora Friemel; sister-in-law, Ruth Mae Poncik; brother-in-law, Joe Coufal Sr. and his wife Nita; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons: Leonard; Daniel; and Tommy; two brothers: John Poncik, Sr.; Bennie Poncik and his wife, Charline; and son-in-law, Tommy Kasmiersky; grandson, Travis Kasmiersky; sister-inlaw, Lydia Beseda and her husband, Bill; sister-in-law Cornelia Spacek and her husband, J.C. Sr.; brother-in-law, Clarence Coufal and his wife, Martha; brother-in-law, Lee Coufal; brother-in-law, Jesse Coufal and his wife Elizabeth; and brotherin-law, Gus Friemel Sr.

Visitation was held on Friday Oct. 25, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Industry Brethren Church, Industry, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019. Burial will follow at Industry Brethren Cemetery.
