A Tribute To My Husband

Miles of Memories

My Dear Faithful Readers, you have followed my little sentences while I reminisced in my “Miles of Memories” column for some time now. Today I write from a sorrowful heart about the death of my husband, Freemon Winsten Miles, III on October 17, 2019.

We met at Victory Bible Camp in July, 1960. I was a junior counselor and he was a lifeguard – and I was the main person he ‘guarded.’We dated for four years continuing into our college years in Arkadelphia. I was at Ouachita and he made many trips across the ravine from Henderson to date me. We married August 2, 1964. One year later, on our first wedding anniversary (August 2, 1965) we brought home our only child, Melissa Moran Miles, to complete our young family.
