Elnora East, 99, of La Grange passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019.

She was born May 3, 1920 in Fayette County to Spencer and Rossetta (Scott) Hubbard. She was a self-employed homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Deloris A. Carr of Columbus, Miss. and Diane East of La Grange; step-daughter, Lovie Lee Scott of La Grange; son, Izae East of La Grange; brothers, Eddie L. Thompson of Daly City, Calif. and Louis J. Thompson of Rosevoille, Calif.; goddaughter, Marilyn Wells of La Grange and godson, Ron Hunt of La Grange. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church in La Grange on Saturday, Nov.. 9, 2019 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Micheal Simms officiating. Burial will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange.
