Poultry Puzzler: Suspect Wanted for Dumping Chicken Parts Near LG
Fayette County Crimestoppers is offering $1,000 for information about an illegal dumping case north of La Grange.
According to a report from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, someone has been dumping boxes of chicken parts along Post Oak Road north of La Grange. The boxes appear to have been purchased from a wholesale chicken seller and were filled with the parts left over from de-boned chicken.
“We think someone was making tamales and these are the bones and stuff left over after they de-bone the chicken,” said Lt. David Beyer of the Sheriff’s Office.
“This has happened several times and it happened again last night,” Beyer said on Wednesday morning. “It’s attracting buzzards and they’re scattering the trash. It has plastic bags mixed in with it. It’s becoming a major issue.”
A nearby resident put up a game camera and captured images of a pickup involved in the dumping. Fayette County Crimestoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information about the pickup or who is responsible. Callers may remain anonymous. Call Crimestoppers at (979) 968-8477 or 1-800-272-TIPS.
