Haynie

Waltraud “Trudy” Maria Haynie, 78, of Spring passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019.

Trudy was born in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia on Feb. 28, 1941, the daughter of Julius and Maria (Fajzer) Reckert.

She married the love of her life, Frank Clark Haynie on March 26, 1976 in Houston. Trudy and Frank were soon blessed with two sons: Alexander and Steven. Once her sons were born, Trudy decided to devote the rest of her life to raising her children full time. Later in life they welcomed the addition of their granddaughter, Audrey, who upon the death of their son, Alexander, they were able to adopt as their daughter - their pride and joy.

She is survived by son, Steven Haynie and wife, Jennifer and their four children and daughter, Audrey Raye Haynie, all of West Point; three sisters-inlaw: Patricia Ann Topping and husband, Ken, of West Point; Mary Alice Pine of Fairhaven, Mass.; and Maria Reckert of Colorado; two nieces: Christine Curl; and Monique Reckert; nephew, Michael Reckert; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019 with Rev. Fr. Alberto Carbajal Madera officiating. Burial followed at Woods Prairie Cemetery in West Point.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange.
