Local Man Says Police Should Have Done More in Reed Case

The State of Texas had planned to execute Rodney Reed for capital murder tomorrow. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ordered an indefinite stay last Friday, Nov. 15, so that a review of his appeal can take place.

New evidence and testimony casting doubt on the state’s case has attracted a broad coalition of supporters for Reed, who has maintained his innocence ever since he was convicted in 1998.
